Mylan’s commitment is to deliver Better health for a better world as we continue to build a better Mylan. For more than 55 years, Mylan has remained committed to providing access to high quality medicines, and today 1 out of every 13 prescriptions in the U.S. is filled with a Mylan product.1 While we have expanded into more than 165 countries and territories, we have maintained our West Virginia roots. Nearly 80% of Mylan’s products sold in the U.S. are manufactured in America.2

  • Mylan’s Commitment to Access

The space between sickness and wellness isn’t nearly wide enough. That’s why Mylan is committed to making quality medicine accessible to every patient.

Mylan believes access to healthcare is more than just bringing products to market – it’s about helping patients to afford them, too.

Our products can be found in most American homes. When looking across our entire U.S. portfolio, one out of every 13 prescriptions filled – brand-name or generic – is a Mylan product. And as a leading generics company – with one out of every 11 generic prescriptions filled with a Mylan product – we’ll also continue to do our part every day to increase the availability of high quality, affordable medicines.3

For more than 55 years, Mylan has been committed to providing access to high quality medicines.

Every day, we take a step closer to giving all patients access to high quality, affordable medications, an important goal of Mylan’s mission.

Helping American patients manage their health

Mylan is a leader in medications that address a range of health concerns facing American patients.

For more than 55 years, Mylan has been focused on creating Better health for a better world by making healthcare accessible to everyone. We want patients to know that we are committed to providing access to high quality medicines that address a range of health concerns, such as:

    • Diabetes, which affects more than 29 million, or about 1 in 11 people4
    • Cancer, with more than 1.5 million people diagnosed each year, and more than 500,000 dying of the disease5
    • Heart disease, the leading cause of death, killing more than 600,000 Americans a year6
    • Parkinson’s Disease, affecting 1 million people, with more than 60,000 new cases reported annually7
    • Thyroid conditions, which affect the approximately 1 in 8 women who will develop a thyroid condition during their lifetime8

For each of these diseases and others, Mylan is a leader in making sure Americans have access to the medicine they need to make their health a priority.

Mylan has built a world-class supply chain to ensure that you have access to the medicine you need, where and when you need it.

  • Mylan’s Commitment to America

    • While Mylan may not yet be a household name, our products can be found in most American homes. One out of every 13 prescriptions filled, branded-name or generic, is a Mylan product at an average price of just 25 cents a dose.9 We have expanded to more than 165 countries and territories, yet have maintained our West Virginia roots, and today nearly 80% of Mylan products sold in the U.S. are manufactured in America.10

    • We have a proven track record of delivering savings to the nation’s healthcare system. Generic drugs make up 89% of prescriptions dispensed, yet represent only 26% of total drug spending11.  Mylan plays an important role in expanding patients’ access to high quality medicine and keeping healthcare costs in check.
  • Mylan’s Commitment to Innovation

Mylan has a strong track record of developing new, affordable products, particularly complex and difficult-to-formulate medicines that are often expensive to develop. Between 2008 and 2017, we will have invested approximately $5 billion in R&D. As a result, we have a robust pipeline, including products for which demand is growing rapidly, such as more-affordable versions of insulins for diabetes, biosimilars to treat cancer and autoimmune diseases, and respiratory therapies to treat asthma and COPD.

Mylan’s committment to the fight against HIV/AIDS

    • More than 8 million people, about half of all patients on treatment for HIV/AIDS in the developing world, depend on a Mylan antiretroviral every day.12
    • Mylan scientists developed a heat-stabilized medication that could withstand high temperatures in Africa and around the world so patients could get access to the treatment they need.
